Based in Amritsar, Punjab

Hi, I’m
Reeva Chopra.

I’m interested in how people’s lives are shaped by history, culture, and the institutions around them.

My work brings together sociology, history, and technology through conversations with artisans carrying knowledge across generations, girls navigating competitive cricket, and the communities I work with. I combine research, technology, and creative work to document what I learn and make it useful and accessible to others.

Founder, Researcher & Advocate

Project Zariya

Understanding and improving girls’ access to cricket.

I founded Project Zariya to understand the barriers girls face in cricket and turn research into practical support. Through 200+ interviews and 12+ rights-awareness workshops, I connected players, parents, coaches, and cricket officials around access, wellbeing, and career opportunities; post-workshop surveys showed 60% lower concerns. The initiative brings together interviews with international cricketers, advocacy and reform proposals shared with PCA and AGA representatives, a Women’s Cricket History Wall, a policy paper, and Luna, an AI-enabled athlete-support app.

01

Writing

I have contributed to school blogs, magazines, and editorial boards since Grade 8. Writing gives me room to stay with a question, develop an interpretation, and express it in my own voice. Through editorial work, I also enjoy working with others to refine ideas and shape them for different readers.
